Training the Next Generation of Forensic Environmental Investigators

The Youth Sentinels Global Fellowship is Nexus Points Doc's flagship capacity-building program — designed to export our forensic methodology to industrial hotspots worldwide.

Fellowship Process

1

Open Call

50 candidates from across the globe apply to become Youth Sentinels. Applications are open to young researchers, journalists, activists, and community members from industrialized regions worldwide.

2

Remote Training

Selected candidates undergo 8 weeks of intensive remote training across 8 thematic modules:

3

Fellow Selection

The 8 highest-performing candidates are selected as full Fellows for a one-year embedded field research program — each investigating an industrial basin in their own region.

4

Field Research

Each Fellow spends one year documenting their assigned basin — from the Ganges to the Nile Delta to the Amazon — producing forensic dossiers and documentary works.

5

Global Exhibition

Fellows present their work at a global exhibition. All proceeds are channelled directly as restoration grants to local environmental NGOs in the documented regions.

6

Regional Representatives

Each Fellow becomes a permanent regional representative for Nexus Points Doc — building a global network of forensic environmental investigators rooted in affected communities.
